Meetings
Carlton on Trent Parish Council meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month, except for August. Carlton on Trent Parish Council meets in the Village Hall, Main Street, Carlton on Trent, from 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend and can bring up anything pertaining to the parish during the part of the meeting set aside for comments and questions from the public. You can view and download the minutes of previous Carlton on Trent Parish Council meetings by clicking here.
Minutes of the previous meeting of Carlton on Trent Parish Council are approved at the start of the next meeting, which is why the most recent minutes on the site are draft minutes. A hard copy of the most recent minutes are available on the notice board opposite the village hall, Main Street, which is also used to display notices of general interest to the parish. There is always a period during the meeting where the public can raise any issues or concerns they have but otherwise they cannot contribute to the discussions unless invited to do so by the council.
Sometimes extra meetings for urgent matters such as planning decisions are held between the regular meetings. While the Parish Council does its best to give as much notice as possible of these meetings, sometimes there is very little time to organise them. Irregular meetings are advertised on the notice board and on this website.
